Building our forever dream home from over 2000 miles away was a very stressful venture. Mr. Nix however made the experience nearly stress free. He personally worked with us on all aspects of the build, down to picking out all the tile, floor, counters etc. We came and inspected three different times and the work more than exceeded our expectations. My wife and I moved to Scottsboro to be near Lake Guntersville. Along with our move came several projects we wanted to complete on our new home. First was a detached boat garage. I had no idea where to look to find a good contractor and I wanted to start the project ASAP. By word of mouth, I was able to get four contractors interested. After explaining the details of the job, there was only one contractor that followed through with an estimate and was optimistic he could meet my deadlines at a reasonable price. That contractor was Nicholas Nix. Nick jumped in with both feet and was able to start within two days after submitting his estimate. Since that day, we not only have finished a detached garage, but we have also completed a 500 sq ft utility shed and are soon to complete a back porch/sunroom within the next couple weeks. Over the years and during my career before my retirement, I worked with hundreds of contractors. I must say Nicholas and all his crew and subcontractors have been great to work with. If I had to pinpoint the most impressive quality of Nick is his responsiveness to phone calls and questions. He doesn’t like to advertise it, but he has always been available to take my phone calls and address my questions. I am a picky customer and l’ve added several change orders which are not always pleasant, but Nick has accepted all of them willingly with an open mind. He genuinely wants the customer to be happy.
